What is a digital giclée print ?
Giclée ( pronounced ghe-clay) is a French word, " the spray of ink." Giclée refers to a fine art print created with digital technology. A high resolution ink-jet printer with stable inks and substrates is used to insure longevity and the finest color reproduction. The art work is also reproduced on artist canvas, similar to the original painting or can be reproduced on artist paper.
TheArtist of Bi Wei Editions then take it a step further by embellishing their own prints with oil color, making each print more unique in color and texture. The total edition is limited to 250 prints on canvas, that are signed, numbered and stretch on wood canvas bars.
Bi Wei Editions has chosen this process because it truly captures the innate beauty of the original, with the same vibrant color and sharp texture which are faithful to the artist vision.
